Terroir and Vineyards
Its personality changes dramatically from clayey to sandy soils being clay wines more suitable for fresh reds and sandy ones ideal for ageing.
The terroir is in the Southern border of the Murcia province were vineyards are planted close to the mountain ranges where Tempranillo show complexity and ripeness giving an intense and blue-red wines.
Medium size cluster and berries. Medium-late vintage.
The grapes were handpicked at optimum stage of ripeness during the month of September. The wine was vinified with a cold maceration at 5ºC during 48 hours. Temperature controlled fermentation at 24-28ºC in stailess steel tanks. Maceration time 12-18 days. A percentage of the wine was aged in French oak barrels before blending back into the final blend.
Clear medium intense ruby red color. Clean medium intense aromas reminiscent of red cherries, strawberries and mature plums with hints of sweet spice such as cinnamon and vanilla. On the palate it is medium dry, medium bodied with a pleasant balance between acidity and soft tannins.
